Arne has been a valued presence in our Estimating Department, specializing in self-performed concrete, and more importantly, serving as a respected mentor to our young estimators. Arne’s passion and dedication for the industry, and his commitment to growing our business is greatly appreciated. He has been a true foundation to our Estimating Department.
We wish Arne well in his retirement that will be filled with family (including 13 grandchildren), travel, mountain climbing, golf, and stock market bargains. Congratulations Arne, we’ll be seeing you later; thank you for your dedication to Walsh!

To Whom it May Concern
The Walsh Group has been using the Paulsen Construction Coaching videos for over a year now to help train our young estimators in what Estimating really means.
In 2019 we had fifteen of our new Project Engineers in Estimating going through the Lump Sum Estimating, Design Build Estimating, and Negotiated Work courses. The course was structured such that the students would watch assigned videos each week and a career Estimator would discuss the topics with them each Friday.
Arne joined us for two of the Fridays, to take a deeper dive into some of the topics of the week. We found this process extremely helpful to the education of the students.
The videos are short and easy to understand, touching on topics such as strategy, relationships, production, and metrics. These are all topics that are rarely touched on in College Level courses.
We have just started another group of Project Engineers through the course, with the same format.
The students are excited about learning through the course.
