The focus of Paulsen Construction Coaching is to equip the Construction Manager, whether an estimator or manager, with the proper tools, procedures, processes and strategies to become successful in their respective field.
The Story
From 1969 to 1973 I attended the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in the studies of Architecture. During those four years, I spent my summers working as a maintenance man and a construction labor. I graduated with a degree in Architecture with Honors. During my post-college days, I have worked for small to very large contractors including a mason subcontractor and several general contractors.
I spent my final 13 years with the Walsh Construction Company in Chicago. During that time, our department also serviced their sister company, Archer Western Contractors. As I approached retirement, one of my responsibilities at Walsh was to mentor and coach young people in their Construction Career. My experience in the construction business started in 1973; after retiring from Walsh Construction in 2015, I started Paulsen Construction Coaching. Please view my retirement text from Walsh Construction in addition to my letters of reference.
I have always enjoyed teaching, coaching and mentoring young professionals through the maze of their construction careers. This led me to the idea of starting an online community which includes over 300 training videos.
